Anna Lagos is a journalist, science communicator, and professor focused on the intersection of technology, science, and society in Latin America. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of WIRED en Español, where she leads editorial coverage on the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence across the region.
Her work examines how emerging technologies—particularly AI—are shaping economies, knowledge systems, and public discourse in Latin America. She also writes extensively about the role of women in science and technology, highlighting the voices and contributions of researchers, innovators, and leaders driving change in the region.
Anna Lagos has collaborated with major international and Latin American media outlets including El País, Gatopardo, Reforma, and Entrepreneur. Her journalism combines rigorous reporting with public-facing science communication that helps broader audiences understand the implications of emerging technologies.
She is a member of the Red Mexicana de Periodistas de Ciencia and holds a degree in Communication with a master’s in Marketing and Advertising from Universidad Iberoamericana.
